Thank you for taking time to review our polices. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to Cathy (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Cindy (email@example.com)
PARKING: This year it is especially important to be mindful of PARKING. Due to heavy construction happening on our street, parking will be VERY limited. PLEASE BRING NO MORE THAN 1 CAR PER FAMILY. If a spouse or grandparent wants to come one day to watch, please arrange to meet somewhere else and come in one car. Please help us keep our neighbors happy as well by being extra mindful of NOT BLOCKING MAILBOXES, DRIVEWAYS or DRIVING UP ON THE CURB. Because our neighborhood doesn't have high curbs, we have had a lot of problems with people pulling up too high on the curbs and damaging sprinklers. You are more than welcome to park in our driveway and encourage coordination to park 2 cars deep if you know you're coming and going at the same time.
WEATHER: When bad weather interferes, your canceled class will be made up on the very next Friday at the same time you usually come for lessons. This will be your only opportunity to make up those lessons. In case of bad weather, check the website and Facebook page to see if lessons are canceled. We suggest that you continue regularly checking until about 30 minutes before your lessons begin. Even if it is raining where you are, it may be dry here and we may still be holding lessons. We keep the pool extra warm on bad weather days and only cancel when there is lightning, high winds, or extremely cold temperatures.
SUNSCREEN: Please do your best to apply sunscreen at least 20 minutes before the beginning of lessons. If you apply it right before lessons it doesn’t have a chance to soak into the skin and actually provides your child with very little protection. It also upsets the chemistry of the pool. If your child is taking a class at a time when sun exposure is minimal (such as first thing in the morning or in the evening) please consider whether sunscreen is necessary.
LIMITING ATTENDANCE: Only one car per family may come to swim lessons each day. We know that the kids love being cheered on by parents, grandparents etc. but to help minimize parking problems and to help with social distancing, we ask that you limit the number of people you bring with you daily to as few as possible. So, for example, if grandma wants to come, please choose 1 day for her to come rather than bringing extra people every day.
SOCIAL DISTANCING: While waiting for your class to begin, please sit as families outside the pool area and maintain social distancing rules. When your class is called, please come inside the fence by way of gate number 1 and remain inside the gated pool area during your child’s lesson. We will have chairs grouped around the pool allowing for as much social distancing as possible. Those leaving lessons should exit via gate 2. If you have children in multiple levels, the family should stay together as a group either inside the pool fence or outside and avoid socializing in the yard. Our home is within Boise City Limits, so we are required to let you know that there is still a mask mandate in place in Boise. Social Distancing and being outdoors is the best strategy for limiting the spread of germs.
REFUNDS: Normally, refunds are only issued in case of severe illness (if they have to miss multiple days of the session) or death in the immediate family. However, this year if you decide to cancel your lessons due to general concerns about CoVid19, you may receive a full refund if that cancellation takes place at least 72 hours before the start of your swim session. If you suspect that you have been directly exposed to CoVid19 or you or any member of your family is exhibiting any of the following symptoms: fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, new loss of taste or smell, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea), please DO NOT come to lessons and we will provide a refund.
